Author's POV
As Singhania's reached their mansion they were very happy. Word "Happy" would not be justified rather they were over the moon.
As they all including, Aarav, entered the mansion, daadi called one of the maid to bring red chillies.
Aadvik as usual can't sit silent and said, "Daadi log to mithai se muh meetha karwaate hain, aap mirchi se karwaaoge kya. ? "
Daadi teasingly said, "Haan mere bache, humaare ghar mein ek parampara hai jab bhi ladke ka rishta hota hai to uske bhai ko laal mirchi khaani padti hai, jitna teekhapan bhai sahega utni uske bhai ki love life aur married life achhi hogi. Ab tum dono socho kya karna hai.?
Rakshit jumped into the conversation and said, "Daadi main kahan se aa gya beech mein .?"
"Kyu tu Aarav ki behan hai kya.? Tu bhi to bhai he hai.? Hai na. ? To phir tujhe bhi khaani padegi. " Daadi was in full mood .
( Author be like - aisi daadi sabko mile, infact aisa parivaar sabko mile )
"Aaahh, daadi ye kya logic hai aur ye kaisi parampara hai. ? Maine aaj tak nahi suni aur aisi koi parampara hoti bhi nahi hai. Jahan Tak mujhe pta hai maa aur aap laal mirch se humaari najar utaarte ho. " Aadvik said .
"Jab pta hai to puchh kyu raha tha ki laal mirch ka kya karoge. Hmm . ? Ab chup ho jaao aur daadi ko Aarav ki najar utaarne do. " Kumud ji replied .
Meanwhile maid came back from kitchen with red chillies. Daadi asked Aarav to come forward to which he replied, "Daadi iski koi jarurat nahi hai, aap ye sab mat karo. Mujhe kisi ki najar nahi lagi aur na lagegi . "
"Arey aise kaise najar nahi lagi, najar keh kar thoda lagegi ki chalo aaj Aarav par attack karte hain. Ye tumhaare surprise test ki tarah hoti hai. Jaise tum teachers bina bataye surprise test lete ho, waise he najar ka bhi yahi kaam hai. Bina bataye lagna.
Chup ho jao aur yahan aao, aaj tumhaari life ka kitna achha aur Boht khaas din hai aur hum sab k liye bhi . Main nahi chahti ki humaari najar bhi lage . "
"Daadi aap sab ki najar kyu lagegi mujhe. Aap to mere apne ho. " Aarav said when didn't get the point ki apno ki he najar kyu lagegi.
"Beta apno ki najar he sabse jyada lagti hai, ab chalo chhodo ye sab aur chup chap yahan par baith jao . " Daadi asked Aarav to sit on the couch and start removing the evil eye from him. When she was done she asked Kumud ji to burn the chillies .

Now they were sitting in the living room except Aarav. He already excused himself by saying he was having headache and wants to rest , Kumud ji asked him if everything was okay but he only said he wants to rest. Nobody pushed him to stay with them and let him go. They start talking about roka ceremony and the things happened in the malhotra house .
Aakriti was the first one to start. "Maa I am so happy, finally humein hamaari bhabhi mil gayi and after one month she will be here. I am so happy for bhai. Maa I don't know whether I am overthinking or not, but mujhe bhabhi ki behan thodi ajeeb lagi. Wo hum sab k saath jyada mix up bhi nahi hui aur humse jyada baat bhi nahi ki. Jab bhi maine aur bhaiyon ne us se baat karne ki koshish ki to bs one word replies they."
To which both brothers said, "Ji maa / taiji, infact we were very polite with her. We didn't tease her but still she didn't talk that much. "
"Bacho ho sakta hai wo nervous ho. Uski ek he to behan hai ab wo bhi thode dino k baad us se alag ho jaayegi isliye ho sakta hai wo udaas ho. Aur tumhaari bhabhi bhi to dekho kaise sharma rahi thi na. Aur nervous bhi thi. Ye time he aisa hota, har ladki is time par emotionally weak ho jaati hai. Uske liye ye sab nayaa hai. Apni behan se alag hona jiske saath usne kitne saal bitaaye, jis k saath apni saari problems share ki. Bhai behan aur behan-behan ka rishta he aisa hota hai. Ab tumhaari bhabhi to yahan aa jaayegi but wo to apni behan se alag ho gayi na. Ab wo us se itni baat nahi kar paayegi."
"Aur waise bhi tum bache ab sirf is baat par focus Karo ki shaadi ki tyaari mein kaun kaun kitna contribution dega. Serious wala contribution masti wala nahi, specially you Aadvik. "
"Maa, main to shareef bacha hoon aapka aur seedha saadha bhi . Aap mujhse aise mat bolo. "
"Bhai aap aur shareef aur wo bhi seedha saadha .... Chance he nahi. Main ye maan sakti hoon ki Aarav bhai humein ek din na daante par ye kabhi nahi maan sakti ki aap shareef ho. Aapne to mere bhole bhale Rakshit bhai ko bhi bigaad diya. Kitne shareef they wo. Bilkul nahi bolte they aur ab dekho aur ab dekho metro jaisi speed se bolte hain. !" Aakriti said .
"Aaeee chhutki , mujhe kyu beeche laayi re tu. Taai ji please mujhe bacha lo. Maine inka kya bigada hai. Main aapka sabse shareef bacha hoon . Hoon na taai ji. ? " Rakshit said to her badi maa with fake tears and puppy eyes.
"Haan beta tu mera sabse shareef raja bacha hai, aaja. " Kumud ji said to Rakshit while caressing his hair
"Maa, hum kahan jaayenge phir. ? Hum aapke bache nahi hain kya. ? Bhai ye to dhokha ho gya humaare saath. ! Chachi / choti maa hum hain na shareef bache aapke ? " Aadvik and aakriti both rushed to their choti maa who equally loved them like Rakshit .
"Aa jaao tum mere paas aa jaao mere bacho. " Nandini ji hugged them .
Both their mothers equally loved them. They didn't differentiate between them. Jitna unhe pyaar milta hai, utni he daant bhi padti hai galti karne par. Kids were treated equally without any thought.
All the family members were enjoying the cute fight between the kids and prayed for their bond.
Here, Aarav was in his room. He excused from family by saying he was having headache. He just don't want to sit with his family members. He was feeling restless. He was not sure whether he had done the right thing by saying yes or not. He still had some doubts. He didn't want to face the things which he faced earlier. He want to give his life a chance but not on the basis of insecurities, doubts.
He was laying on the bed facing the ceiling and started recalling the moments which he spend with Palak . He was not sure whether Palak was forced or she was actually ready. She didn't ask him any question infact she didn't talk much.
They even didn't exchange numbers with each other. He really wanted to talk to her. To talk about the future. To talk about themselves. But how.? How can he get her number. ? Maybe his siblings got her number. He decided to talk to them and ask for Palak's number if they have .

Here In the Samayara's room
"सिसकियां भी नहीं सुन पाता कोई इतना घुट घुट के रोती हूं सुर्ख आँखे देखकर पूछे कोई तो सर दर्द पेट दर्द का बहाना ना देती हूं।"
As soon as samayara reached her room, she cried and cried like there was no tomorrow. And why not .! She heard the things which were not expected. What was her fault if she was younger, what was her fault if her parents and others elders asked Palak to take care of her, what was her fault when Palak was getting scolded from her elders just because she didn't pay any attention to her .
Arey bhai..!! Samayara was also sailing in the same boat na. Despite of all these things, she never get the love which she deserved. She never get the care from her parents. Her parents even refused to talk to her when she wanted to share that part of life, they clearly denied that and said that was only her fault. They accused her, only her.
She tried every possible thing to get their love. Sometimes she questioned Mahadev her existence when she saw Palak receiving love and care and she don't.
She never received any kind of kindness, love, warmth. Just for their love and warmth she studied well , she always ranked between 1-5 in the class just for their parents and grandparents to make them proud.
Instead of getting proud they always said, "Jyada padh kar bhi kya karogi , ye report card aur degree kya he kaam aayegi. ? Karna to baad mein rasoi ka he kaam hai na. ? Sambhaalna to baad mein ghar he hai na.? "
Her only fault was that she was a girl and that too second girl child and on top of that she came in this world after her mother's miscarriage when she was pregnant and that too the unborn child was a boy .
When her mother was pregnant for the first time, the family was expecting the child to be a boy. But when she gave birth to Palak, their expectations shattered but still they somehow managed to give love and care to Palak. Though it was of not that level, which they would give to the boy child, if that happened, but still they gave.
Palak was loved and sometimes was given things which she demanded. She was not pampered but still get the things.
After one and half year, when her mother again got pregnant, that time they were adamant to get checked whether it was a girl child or a boy.!
Though it was illegal, but still they got it done. When they got to know that the child in the womb was a boy, they were so happy. There was no limit of their happiness. They were on the 9th cloud and refused to come back.
They were very happy and they also gave Palak warmth and love. Strange isn't it.? Yes , Palak also got loved by them. Her grandparents also loved her. They recite poems, bed time stories and sometimes Palak sleeps with them.
They were very happy. Aur honge bhi kyu nahi, unhe ek ladka jo chahiye tha aur wo aa bhi raha tha . Isliye wo Palak ko bhi pyaar karne lage they .
One day, Aastha was washing clothes, though her mother-in-law told her not to wash clothes, not carry heavy buckets and tubs but she was not hearing any of these things and got busy in washing clothes .
Only few clothes were left. She was very careful all the time. As water and clothes were scattered all over the floor .
Suddenly her foot got tangled in a piece of cloth and she fall down . As soon as her belly touched the ground , she screamed like hell.
Luckily her husband, Harsh, was present at that time. Panicking he scooped Aastha in his arms and called his mother and sister. They also started panicking but still somehow managed to lay her in the car. It took about 20-30 minutes to reach hospital.
As soon as they reach hospital, they called doctor for emergency and doctors start their job. After sometime, doctors came out from OT and announced the worst thing that they were sorry they couldn't save the baby.
The news shattered them. They were scared to share the news to rest of the family members, but Harsh gather courage and gave the news to his family. They started crying and it was quite obvious. Afterall the unborn child was a boy. Their all dreams which were related to that unborn child were now broken.
Time passed, days converted into weeks and weeks into months. Aastha was now in recovering phase. She tried every possible thing to bear the loss, to keep the thoughts out of her mind that they lost their baby boy .
One day she got to know that she was pregnant again. Though it was not planned at all but still she conceived. She was happy and as soon as she announced this news to her husband he actually jumped in excitement
Then they decided to announce this news to their family, as soon as they hear the news they were all very happy.
All were like chalo ab to ladka ho jaayega.
Now Palak was also grown up little, she too was happy that finally she would get her sibling. She had her cousin brothers who loved her but still she wants her own sibling.
( I don't know how this thought came to her mind that she wanted her own siblings, cousins are also our siblings , infact sometimes cousins are actually best rather that our own siblings . )

As soon as Bua received the news she told her mother to give medicine to her sister-in-law.
( Medicine in terms - in some families who are so willing to have boy child, they go to hakeem or to the person who provide medicines with surity that by having this medicine it would be 200% sure that the baby would be boy. It is common in rural area , villages. I mean seriously, ye sab bakwaas hai. Ye sab bhagwan ki marji hai ki wo kise is dharti par bhejenge . Wo farak nahi karenge kya beta kya beti. )
They managed to get medicine and they were sure that this time it would be boy. So they didn't get checked this time.
Time passed and everything went well. As soon as the time of delivery came, no doubt there was a cloud of tension about the health of Aastha and baby but they were sure that it would be boy. They were already on 9th cloud.
Aastha was now in delivery room screaming, breathing heavy, pushing the baby by all her strength but baby was adamant. Aastha was now at the edge of getting faint. Doctors checked on Aastha and then checked on the baby. Baby's heartbeat was dropping and if they didn't conduct C section delivery, it would be too late to save the baby.
Doctors came out of the room they explained the situation and told them if they didn't conduct C-section delivery it would be riskier for both mother and the baby. So they have to make decision very quick .
In no time decision was made for C-Section .

Doctors came out of the delivery room. As doctors congratulated for the arrival of a baby girl , all the smiles on the faces suddenly faded away. Like someone dropped nuclear bomb on them and they got numb.
They didn't expected that. They only expected a baby boy .
Bua and daadi were like Ek to pet ( belly ) kaata aur upar se hui bhi ladki .
( That's true , these things happened in real life where family wants only baby boy . So these kind of things came up in mind .)
Sapna was the first one to came forward and asked doctor whether the baby was fine, healthy.? Doctor said, baby and mother both are fine . She will wake up after some time as she was so exhausted .
That baby girl was our Samayara .
Sapna was well aware of the situation, of the thinking and mind set of her in laws. She was aware of her jethani also. Aastha was so into ki is baar beta ho jaaye sab sahi hoga. Because in her mind the thought was always there ki nandini k paas dono bete hain aur mere paas ladki.
Here Sapna always wanted a girl child, so she decided to give this girl child a motherly love, affection and warmth. She was the one jisne Samayara ko naam diya.
S apne aur Shaurya k naam se start hota hua and kind of similar to Shaurya. That's the reason Shaurya loved her more than he loved Palak.
Very well known of her jethani and other family member's nature she was actual worried about the girl child's life. Sapna knew that baby girl would only receive cold shoulders. Someone has to be there for her, to give love, care, affection .

Time skipped , days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into years. Samayara was growing. Her chachu, chachi and her both brothers loved her so much.
They didn't pamper her because nobody let them do so. They feel very bad how samayara was treated specially Shaurya . He treated her like his own sister infact his chotu baby girl. He do everything whatever was in his reach. He always made sure Samayara safe feel kare.
As for Samayara's parents they only think of her as their responsibility. And sometimes they don't . They don't love her very much. Unhe hamesha se ladka chahiye tha aur samayara k birth k baad doctor ne bol diya ki ab unka conceive karna thoda risky hai . So they don't take any chance and that's how dream of having a boy was crashed .
They were just doing their basic duties of being parents. They become parents but failed to become mom and dad.
